Summer so far...

Hello Friends,
I have no idea who actually likes reading or checking out what is happening in our lives, but in case you were wondering Michael & I have been on the busy mode. It seems like life is seriously on the go and I don't have the time to even think or sit down and write on the blog.
Since my last post I was just finishing up my winter semester of school. Well I had about a week break until i went back to school for the summer. (That was the fastest 6 weeks of school.) During those six weeks I had the opportunity to learn from a wonderful photographer. Her name is Monique Saenz and she takes the most beautiful photos ever. Please go check her out! You will not be disappointed. On that note I did take beginning photography and I absolutely loved it. It was so much fun to roam around the island and take pictures of some pretty interesting things. I also took History 201 and I'm happy to say that i got a solid A! An A in a history class that was only 6 weeks long... crazy! But I did it none the less :) I also took Art History but that class is bridging over to the second part of summer.
I call this one the beheaded palms (Part of my final portfolio)

This project was just interaction and i wanted to see how it was as life as a mother at the beach

This is my self portrait

Frank turned 1 in May! It was so much fun!
For the first two weeks of June my parents came to visit! It was such a treat because last time they came it was flooding and raining the whole time. But this time around it was glorious...It was so sunny and they had such a blast! I loved having them around. It was also fun to Have my dad be here on Fathers day! It was a blast.  They are seriously the best parents ever and i could not ask for anything better. COme back and visit us soon :)
Snorkling at Wiamea Bay
Lovely temple session

Of course we got our fill of Matsumoto SHAVE ICE!

Fathers Day at John and Jenni's casa

I was so happy to Celebrate Father's day with my dad! He is so handsome. See the similarities???

Of course i had to add a picture of Philly. She is currently in heat and all she does is Sleep .

Mikes day goes something like this: Monday through Saturday 7:00- Wake up 10:00- Leave Hauula and drive to Waipahu- For those who do not live on this island it's about an hour and fifteen Minute drive. So from 12:00 -10:00Pm or later he works for the lovely Vivint. Selling alarms around the island has been different from what he has done but he really enjoys it. He likes the moment when someone wants/needs the security in their lives. He has finally got his groove and has been selling pretty consistently. I have such gratitude for him and for how hard he really works. Some days are super long hours about 15-16. But he is very dedicated and I admire him for that.

I just LOVE this BOY!
I have a four week break off from school and have been working doing cleanings for some vacation rentals at Turtle Bay. I also clean my parents house which is in Hauula and manage it with my brother while they are off the island. It's good money and I feel happy to contribute to our family finances. I have been trying to go to the beach, doing crafts- side note- my sister is pregnant with a little boy and my sister-in-law katie Johansen is pregnant with a little boy as well so the crafts keep on coming, playing with cute Philly and visiting friends and family. Sometimes it does get really lonely without mike but i have been putting on a smiley face and taking each day at a time. We have committed ourselves to doing Vivint till the end of the summer and then who knows after that. I will definitely keep you posted.

XOXO,
Bethany

Busy B.

Hello Friends and Family-
Once again I am procrastinating on my homework. So i decided to let the people of the blog world know what is going on in the Schoneman fam. Mike and I have been super busy. I mean real busy. I have no idea where the time goes.
*Mike is about to be finish working for the ILead department for BYU-H. He is excited for the new opportunities that come. Well as some of you may know he is going to work for Vivent as a security sales rep. I won't see him much this summer because he will be working Monday-Saturday 12:00-8:00PM. We are both nervous for this job but I know Mike will do a great job this summer. So when he is gone during those prime hours of the day I will be getting my tan on and try to enjoy the surf more :)
* As far as what i will be doing during summer is being in SCHOOL.  I will be taking 9 credits for the first block of summer. Then there will be a 5 week break which i cannot wait for and then i will resume in taking 6 credits of class. I can't really complain for going to school during the summer because i will be taking photography for both terms and an art class. I will be getting my creativity on!
* During the 5 week break Mike and I will be heading to Utah for Steve (his brother's) wedding! We are so happy for him and Mitzi!
*Also another thing that is exciting for the Schoneman fam is that Mike's sister Katie is expecting her first child! We can't wait for the little he/she to arrive in October.

Well I have to get back to researching for a research paper but hey there is only 4 weeks left of the semester! Oh happy day! Can't wait to play!

Daddio is 60!!!

MIke Speed turned 60 on the 13 of December!!! My sister Stephanie planned a surprise party for my dad the weekend before is birthday. My mom helped me out and I got to surprise my pop when he flew in the next day! Brent & John actually met him at his gate and that really shocked him. He said, "I don't get surprised too often, but that was a surprise." I hopped out of the car and he was taken a back :) Then we went back to the Vegas House and set up for the Partay!!! Be aware...Tons of Pictures!
The biggest surprise of them all was that My dad's Parents and brother came all the way from Texas! What a treat!!
The man doesn't know what to do with all the attention!
John gave dad the best gift! I mean look at that face. A T-Pain Microphone...keep the tunes coming pops!
Stephanie made up a song for dad and Carrie accompanied on the guitar. Emily made the family slideshow. So much fun.
Twins! nope it's Papa  George and Mike aka Father & son
 My favorite Picture
Not only seeing family was amazing but I got to see my baby girl Philly! She is SO big now! I can't wait till she comes and lives with Michael & I in January :)
To you Dad! Happy Birthday!!!

Laie Temple Visitors Center

On the first weekend of December Paul & Deborah as well as Katie and her kids and Michael & I went to the Temple Visitors Center. We walked from Katie's house and saw all the fun lights that were on the way to the Visitors Center. This time of year is SO fun! The Center was filled with about 16 different Christmas trees! I couldn't believe it. I realized that tree was decorated by each stake on Oahu! How rad is that?!
Michael & I's is the Byu-H 3rd Stake. It was filled with all the different flags around the world! I loved  it. Sorry about the picture quality (it came out real blurry).
I love this picture! I love my family SO much! I am sad to see Paul & Deb and the kids move to the mainland but it was really fun to do this activity. If you blow up the picture Stetson is looking towards Christ. This is truly the meaning of Christmas. I hope each and everyone of us looks towards Jesus Christ during this Holiday Season! Merry Christmas.

My Love

For Both our Birthdays

Brent & Katie are the most sweetest, Genuine people that I know! For Mike's Birthday They gave him a ticket to see Bright Eyes. I was a little bummed because there was only one ticket. But when my Birthday came around, they surprised me and gave me a ticket to see Bright Eyes as well! It was such a fun date to go with Brent and Katie to see Bright Eyes. It was their last gig playing on their Tour! It was a great show and three hours of grand Music!

The Bathroom floors were rad!
